The elegance of Dão

The wines from Dão are likely to be the most feminine and elegant of Portuguese Wines, also defined by their highly gastronomic nature. The delicious balance between acidity, alcohol and aroma, combine to produce an elegant glass of wine.

Soil: Clay

Climate: Mediterranean

Vinification: Cold skin contact for 2 days, followed by a 5-day fermentation with controlled temperature at 23ºC. Smooth maceration.

Aging: After the fermentation the wine aged for 3 months in oak barrels

Alcoholic Strength: 13%

Colour: Ruby

Aroma: Raspberry and cassis

Palate: Red fruits, médium body with refined tannins

Tasting Note: Very smooth and pleasant

Serving Suggestions: Serve between 16 and 18ºC. Goes well grilled meat, pasta and spicy dishes.
